An adept Australian-based actor, artist and cross-disciplinary creative, Jacinta has been passionate about the arts her whole life.

She has Mauritian and British heritage and largely attributes her love for all her creative pursuits to her upbringing. From a young age, her parents, who have both had professions in creative industries, have shaped her into both the person and the artist she is today.

Growing up, Jacinta loved to learn, always being led by her curiosity. She almost always had her head in a book, was fervently watching films on repeat, or was asking a million and one questions about the way the world works (that hasn’t changed very much). She has always loved to create in any capacity she can. She began drawing from a very early age and then fell in love with performing, whether that meant on a stage or a show in her living room all the family members had to watch. And from there her passion only grew.

When she is not busy being her crazily creative self, Jacinta likes to lead an active lifestyle and is most likely to be by the beach or amongst nature. She also frequents local art galleries and loves to attend fashion and arts events.

TRAINING

Jacinta studied visual arts, dance and acting throughout school. She also completed a CERT II in Dance before formally undergoing acting training at the Academy of Film Theatre and Television, and JMC Academy in Sydney. Over the years, her studies focused on acting for traditional theatre (contemporary and classical), physical theatre, musical theatre, film and television.

WORK

Theatrically, she’s had the privilege of performing in various shows at locations including the Sydney Opera House, Belvoir St Theatre, Joan Sutherland Centre and Evan Theatre. Jacinta has also been featured in a range of films, music videos and documentaries. She has recently been an actor and production illustrator for Odd One Out, a short doco about Oscar-award winning prosthetics and special FX company Odd Studio. The documentary has then gone on to win four Martini Awards. Jacinta has also been the lead actor, costume designer and makeup artist for  Live Lines, a company which celebrates visual arts events through live physical theatre performances.

This year, Jacinta came to the decision to create her own production company Et Si Studios. The studio is currently producing their debut film, planning to distribute Hot Chocolate in 2026. This year, Jacinta has also worked on numerous upcoming films and television series in both crew and cast roles. She has produced and headed the art department for Ripple Production’s upcoming film I’ll Be Fine. She has recently been cast in lead roles for short films First Page (2025) and Blackout (in production). She has also been keeping busy producing two upcoming international television series.

Jacinta thoroughly enjoys working on such vastly unique projects which have enabled her differing artistic passions and talents to intersect across various roles. She cannot wait for you to all see what she currently has in the works.
